Occupational Therapist Guidelines are very important and we work very closely with your Occupational Therapists to make sure the needs of the user are met. For example size of shower area, type of door opening, raised toilet, type of shower seats available, thermostatic shower unit with extended pole and hose (to accommodate other users in the shower, size of grab rails, where and what angle they should be fixed at (and does the wall need to be reinforced) type and size of wash hand basin, wall bracketed for knee room, should a wheelchair be required, mixer/lever taps to suit wash basin, slip resistant floor tiles/covering with a value of R11 for safety, ventilation, heating, globe light are all taken into consideration. We provide all renovations to adapt your bathroom to be accessible and to ensure we do no inconvenience any other users in your home.
